傳統(tǒng)打臘仍然是保養(yǎng)石材合適的方法，因臘面處理會(huì)形成一層薄水晶層在石的表面，保護(hù)石表面免受傷害，但必須選擇質(zhì)量好及選用一些防滑效能強(qiáng)的水晶硬臘。
石材產(chǎn)品使用過(guò)程中應(yīng)注意以下事項(xiàng)：
在搬運(yùn)時(shí)要打側(cè)豎立，不可放平石面移走，體積大的產(chǎn)品一定要幾個(gè)人一起搬運(yùn)，小心輕放，不可重壓；
在產(chǎn)品入庫(kù)或裝車時(shí)，要豎立靠邊，重疊時(shí)要緊靠，不可留有空隙，嚴(yán)禁平面倒放疊置；
不可用尖銳硬物撞擊石材，這會(huì)導(dǎo)致石材保護(hù)層劃傷，爆裂或石材斷裂；
使用時(shí)不可讓酸性物體接觸石面。平時(shí)用正常的溫濕布擰干就可擦拭，如果有油漬或茶漬要及時(shí)抹干凈，避免顏色滲透，并時(shí)常用專業(yè)的清潔劑進(jìn)行清潔打蠟，保持保護(hù)層的透明光澤度。若遇到保護(hù)層有少許刮傷刮花，可自己先倒點(diǎn)水在刮花處，再用細(xì)砂的砂紙（2000#）輕柔的打磨，然后清潔打蠟，就可以恢復(fù)原貌了。除了正常的使用之外，還要留心石材家具本身一些特性，如果碗、碟、茶杯等器皿底部尖利粗糙，盡量放個(gè)底墊以防止刮傷石面餐臺(tái)或茶幾的保護(hù)層。
